Home

If civilisation began when nomads
Stopped to become settlers with time
Time has made nomads of settlers again
Selling wants where to be without them
Was the way of the virtuous and wise
One nation's dream of materialist heaven
Became global enough to turn restless
Minds at peace with little in return
For a place at the lotus feet after death
If travel agents of a kind promise paradise
In the hereafter traffickers show perilous
Ways to the everafter across the seas
When caught immigrants without papers
Are sent back in chains like criminals
With no protests from the homeland
They were lured from and hoped not to see
Till they were old enough to long for home.
