When my memory dims
Remember for both of us
What we lost to time
And what time let us keep
Remember how far
We travelled from home
How when we looked back
We didn't rue we couldn't go back
Hell is where time never moves
As is paradise with its eternal spring
Remember why we left in the first place
Sometimes time softens the past
And makes it seem more palatable
Making us long to return to it
Remember enough not to return
Soon it may be time to leave for good
But never wish we had stayed back then.
