If consciousness is not
Dependent on the body
Do you see us when we
Don't see you, as we have
Eyes that can see only
What everyone else sees?
Do you think of us when we
See our desires being denied
Want to tell us we cannot hold
For long even what we have?
When you visit us in our dreams
Are you telling us not to worry
Ourselves over what vanishes
Like a dream when our time ends?
Do we get to meet you then so that
We can laugh over our little stories?
